The sun shines on SUNOS Solarpower

and now even on the Côte D’Azur

Osnabrück solar energy company sets up a branch near Nice.
For SUNOS Solarpower the sun shines now on the Côte D'Azur.

Osnabrück. Following Greece the Osnabrück supplier of photovoltaic systems SUNOS Solarpower has now set up its second overseas branch. In the sun-drenched South of France the Head of the Branch Office, Dr. Dieter Schischke and his team, are working in this market. "The growth of the photo-voltaic market in Germany is five or six years further advanced compared with this country: there is an appropriate need to catch up. With the know-how drawn from the Osnabrück Head Office, SUNOS Solarpower we are well-placed and the first customers have already been acquired", Dr Schischke explained.

The Industrial Engineer has operated a PV-unit himself for years; however, he was dissatisfied with its performance. He therefore made detailed enquiries of how to make the technology more efficient, more cost-effective and more profitable in the long term. Out of this a business idea developed of how the enormous potential in the Provence and in other regions of the ‘Grande Nation' could be used. Through contacts in Germany expatriate Schischke soon found his way to the Osnabrückers.
The SUNOS branch in the region around Nice, Cannes and Grasse on the Côte D'Azur equips not only private houses but also business premises with solar energy units. The Head of the Branch is supported by amongst others by Boualem Benelfoul, who concentrated intensively on the project development during a several week stay in the town on the Hase River, Osnabrück. The Electrical Engineer, Nicolas Rabah works for the company Eden Development and is responsible for the workmanlike assembly of the units.

Basically the successful business principle applied in Osnabrück is reproduced in the South of France. There too we will work together with experienced local companies. The planning of the units to be carried out will be validated in Osnabrück, thus checked and according to assured standards, the Managing Director of SUNOS, Frank Hemme, maintained. By ordering the modules and the other materials via the German Head Office the company can take considerable advantages of bulk purchasing savings and can pass on these to the customer in the form of competitive offers.

If nothing else, because of the disappointing results of the Copenhagen Conference, we are all the more pleased that through our activities, we have been able to do pioneer work in France as well and with solar energy, to contribute to climate protection.
